Web Application Developer

iParadigms is a pioneer & leader in the rapidly expanding field of digital information tracking. Basic Duties:

  • Entry-level/New Grad position with responsibility for current development 2nd level technical support issues
  • Work and collaborate with an exceptional programming staff to design, develop, test, and maintain web services.
  • Assist with the development of software & tools for other products

Required Skills

  • B.S. in Computer Science or related field
  • Knowledge of object-oriented Perl, HTML, Java & SQL
  • Prefer knowledge of RDBMS, schema design & Linux OS
  • Self-starter, proactive, detail-oriented
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Solid oral and written communication skills

Account Manager

This is a quota-driven sales position for iParadigms, LLC, a growing Oakland company specializing in internet-based educational software solutions. Come over and help us rock the education world. The Account Manager will work with a small group of enthusiastic and creative professionals to sell Turnitin-- a suite of online tools designed to help educators and students stop internet plagiarism and improve writing and research skills. Turnitin has recently been featured in several prominent media outlets, including 60 Minutes, NPR, Dr. Phill and The New York Times.

Expectations:

  • Generate demand for Turnitin within your sales territory using a variety of means, such as the internet, marketing campaigns, tradeshows and networking
  • Communicate effectively, through both verbal and written correspondence, with upper-level decision makers at academic institutions
  • Maintain and nourish a strong customer relationship throughout an extended sales cycle
  • Assist our training and outreach staff as necessary to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and maximize renewal potential
  • Adhere to set processes while qualified opportunities are moved through the sales cycle
  • Consistently meet or exceed quarterly sales goals

Skills and Experience:

  • BA/BS degree preferred
  • 3 yrs. experience in a quota driven inside sales role
  • Quality writing skills, excellent phone presence, and professional manner
  • History of exceeding sales quotas and recognized success
  • Ability to work effectively with a team in a fast paced, changing environment
  • Demonstrated success establishing and cultivating business relationships
  • General understanding of education software, and/or technology sales
  • Strong working knowledge of personal computers
  • SALES EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED, preferably in INSIDE SALES with high quota achievement

  • Generate renewal revenue for Turnitin within your sales territory using a variety of means, such as the internet, marketing campaigns, tradeshows and networking
  • Communicate effectively, through both verbal and written correspondence, with upper-level decision makers at academic institutions
  • Maintain and nourish a strong customer relationship throughout an extended sales cycle
  • Assist our training and outreach staff as necessary to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and maximize renewal potential
  • Adhere to set processes while qualified renewal opportunities are moved through the sales cycle
  • Consistently meet or exceed quarterly renewal sales goals

Skills and Experience:

  • BA/BS degree preferred
  • Experience in managing complex software sales cycles
  • Previous software sales experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as on teams
  • A strong working knowledge of personal computers
