Testimonials
The new, quick turnaround has been wonderful. It's been wonderful just to have this site; the bulk of this class is writing. I tell students about the site and that every paper will be checked. I haven't had a problem since.

iThenticate Exposes Unoriginal Material in CCSU Controversy. iThenticate has played an important role in discovering the sources of plagiarism in a recent scandal involving the president of the Central Connecticut State University, Richard Judd. Judd was accused of plagiarism in a Hartford Courant piece that he wrote, and a check in iThenticate found that 11 percent of the piece was lifted from four unattributed sources. The Courant cited iParadigms and iThenticate founder John Barrie for his help in finding the unattributed material.
Real-Time Originality Reports. Turnitin maintains a 45-megabit constant connection to the internet through a tier-one ISP. This allows us to 'crawl' and copy the internet into a room full of computers that store more than 25 terabytes of information. This also allows us to generate our Originality Reports in seconds.
Improved Peer Review. At the option of the instructor, every student can read and peer review every other paper submitted to a particular class. Students and faculty can read the papers submitted to iParadigms with all of the original formatting intact through their normal web browser (i.e., no expensive, proprietary software to install).
GradeMark™. Using Turnitin's patent pending technology, faculty can now contextually grade student term papers by placing marks and comments directly into the student paper, using a normal web browser. Students can then see their grades, and instructors can comment on papers without ever printing a page onto paper.
GradeBook. Using Turnitin's grade book, faculty can enter grades for Turnitin assignments and non-Turnitin assignments. Student attendance can be tracked, and everything can then be exported to an Excel spreadsheet. When grades are entered they are immediately accessible to every student in the class. In the future we will also give instructors the ability to display grades to the parents of their students.
New User Wizards. Our new user wizards help instructors and students new to Turnitin get started with our service. The instructor wizard walks instructors through the steps of creating a profile, joining an account, and creating a class and assignment. The student wizard assists students in creating a profile and enrolling in their instructor's class. With our wizards, getting started with Turnitin is easier, faster, and more user friendly.
Research Resources. Turnitin now provides everyone (even people who don't subscribe to Turnitin) with best practices to help prevent and deter plagiarism before it happens. We believe that Turnitin should be used as a learning tool (e.g., peer review, online grading, digital portfolios), and provide the tools to help faculty deter plagiarism and to help students improve their writing and research skills.
What's New - Press
60 Minutes. Turnitin was profiled on the CBS news program, '60 Minutes,' as the solution to plagiarism at the university level (although we have thousands of secondary-school clients around the world). We were contrasted to a massive case of plagiarism at University of Virginia, the nation's university with the oldest honor code and still no enterprise program to deter future cases of plagiarism.
Massive press exposure. Since 1998, Turnitin has been featured in thousands of media articles in multiple languages. In fact, we average more than two media appearances per week. The reason only Turnitin is mentioned in 98% of those articles is because Turnitin is the ONLY enterprise solution to plagiarism on the market.
What's New - Hardware

Multiple Levels of Redundancy. Over the last year we have added multiple layers of network, storage, and CPU redundancy to make our services faster and more reliable. We work hard to provide our clients with 99% uptime.
